Additional details

A technician-led course built to close the gap between our Electrical Upskilling and Troubleshooting courses. For technicians who need the foundations locked in before they're ready to fault-find under pressure.

Some technicians arrive at Troubleshooting Training underprepared — not because they lack potential, but because the foundations aren't there yet. Their confidence is low, their principles are shaky, and our TS course moves too fast and they spend the week surviving rather than learning.

This course is the fix. It uses the same rigs, the same real components, and the same hands-on approach as our other training — but fault-finding is the thread running through everything from day one. Every circuit built gets a fault put on it, and every fault gets worked through the WTS methodology. By the end of the week, technicians aren't just ready for our Troubleshooting Training...they're hungry for it.

Each course is tailored to the individual, so every technician walks away with what they actually need.

“Last week I completed my Electrical Upskilling Course. We covered everything from wiring and fault finding to testing and safety procedures, all through hands-on setups that replicate real wind turbine generators. The training rigs were seriously impressive - a proper bridge between classroom and field.Dominic Connolly, my instructor, was outstanding - experienced, passionate, and able to make complex topics ‘click’. Wishing him and the WTS team continued success. ”

“A number of our turbine technicians recently completed training at this centre and were very impressed with the professionalism throughout. The instructors were highly knowledgeable and experienced, delivering challenging and engaging content in an approachable manner. Our team concluded the course feeling confident, well-prepared, and equipped to apply their new skills. We would highly recommend this training centre to anyone looking for high quality, professional WTG technician training. ”

“I have done plenty of courses to obtain a range of qualifications throughout my years in the industry, but got to say that WTS and Dom are doing things differently, very proactive, engagement and the meals are superb. I recommend to anyone, if you [are] thinking about it then, you should be booking it! ”

“I've undertaken a wide range of mandatory industry training for competency sign-off, but the training delivered by Dom and the WTS team stands out as the most exceptional by far. The final troubleshooting assessment with Dom was the most valuable training experience I've had in the wind industry. Working through a simulated fault-finding scenario independently, using real processes, electrical plans, and test procedures, all under expert supervision, felt as close to the field as training can get. This is exactly the kind of preparation technicians need. ”

“The troubleshooting sessions, under pressure, allowed me to get a feel of how to handle and deal with this in a potential real-life scenario. Rigs and practical tasks felt relevant and it was easy to picture these scenarios on a WTG. The actual fault-finding tasks themselves allowed me to understand the expectations of the course, along with getting an initial understanding of how to troubleshoot. ”
